Closing in. . .

We're less than a week away from the very first Festival of Legends.  The excitement around here is palpable and I hope every one of you is just as excited about our inaugural year.

We published the schedule last week; here's the map as well!  When you arrive at Storybook Farm, there will be parking on both sides; just follow the attendants for where to park.

When the lot gets full, or if you simply don't want to park your car on grass, we have arranged with the City of Carrboro to make use of their park-and-ride, which is just a few miles away.  We have a shuttle bus that will run all day for your convenience!  The park-and ride is marked on the area map:

Festival of Legends Area Map

And here is the map that you will find in your program!  There is a road that goes all the way along the festival grounds, which needs to be kept clear for the residents who live in the three houses at the south end of the Festival site.  To give a sense of scale, the Feasting Hall is approximately 70' x 30'.

Parking will be for handicap and VIP in the area right by the festival grounds, and there is more parking farther north.  Plus, of course, the park-and ride is available if you want to take the shuttle or carpool !

We look forward to seeing you!

Kickstarted!

We have met and surpassed our Kickstarter goal!  Thank you to everyone who has contributed.  This will help make the first Festival of Legends a party to remember!

We also have picked up most of the remaining merchandise from Instant Imprints of North Raleigh.  Chuck is the guy we've been working with and he has been fantastic from the very start.

Here are pictures of the fantastic merch you'll be able to pick up at the Festival, or which will be mailed to you if you are one of our more distant supporters!

We have Kickoff~

Our Kickstarter Campaign met its goal last Friday!  We are excited about the prospect of having a Queen of the Festival of Legends to honor and faun over the whole day!  Plans are afoot for the coronation ceremony and with the brilliant minds we have working on it, it is sure to please.

There is still time, backing ends this Friday.  Who thinks we can make it to $3000?

Sponsors

Our very first sponsor was Starrlight Mead, producers of fine mead.  Additionally the owners, the Starrs, are fantastic people running a wonderful local business.  They took bronze at the Mazer Cup this year, which is an international mead competition!  We are so proud and honored to have these folks as part of our show.
